Double-blind peer review process

The author(s) of the article must consider the following editorial procedure:
The author(s) must read, agree to, and comply with the Code of Ethics of Revista Enfoques: Ciencia Política y Administración Pública (RECPyAP).
Original articles will be received, preferably those resulting from recent research projects (within the last two years).
A research project is understood as sponsorship and/or support from a public and/or private institution.
The article may not be submitted simultaneously to another editorial peer-review process.
The article should preferably be written in Spanish, with title, abstract, and keywords in both Spanish and English.
Submissions of theoretical and/or empirical articles and/or reviews are open throughout the year, except during the month of February.
Once the online platform indicates that the contribution has been successfully uploaded, the editorial team will inform the author(s) whether the submission is admissible and/or rejected for formal reasons.
If the article is deemed admissible, the author(s) may track the results of the double-blind peer review process through the online platform. Double-blind peer review implies mutual anonymity between the parties involved; that is, between reviewers and authors.
The peer-review evaluation considers: the coherence of the structure with the title of the work and the use of the scientific method; the relevance and currency of the bibliographic sources consulted; the coherence between the content and the abstract of the article; the ability to make inferences, relationships, and connections based on the information and to draw conclusions; the appropriate use of writing and spelling in the corresponding language; the originality of the work; and whether it is significant for the development of the disciplines covered by the journal (see review guidelines).
Upon completion of the review process, the author will be informed of the immediate acceptance, acceptance subject to major/minor revisions, or rejection of the work, without appeal.
In the case of acceptance subject to major/minor revisions, the author(s) must immediately make the changes required by the reviewers.
As a condition for publication, the author(s) must assign to Revista Enfoques a non-exclusive right of reproduction. To do so, they must state this in the cover letter, after which they must complete a form with their details and sign a non-exclusive rights transfer agreement, which will be sent electronically to the Editorial Coordination.
Revista Enfoques authorizes the reproduction of published works provided that the source is cited.
The editorial team may modify these collaboration rules without prior notice.
