El regionalismo abierto en la política exterior chilena, ¿versión original o concepto equívoco?

Abstract
El presente artículo tiene como objetivo revisar el concepto de regionalismo abierto utilizado por la política exterior chilena, ya que sus características no coinciden plenamente con el modelo asiático ni con el de la Cepal.
Tampoco podemos definirlo como un tercer tipo de regionalismo, puesto que nuestro país ha suscrito acuerdos de libre comercio con sus principales socios comerciales, sin que predomine la cercanía geográfica o que afecte su autonomía para concertar otros. Además, Chile estableció que su política exterior era un instrumento para el desarrollo, entendido como el crecimiento alcanzado gracias a la inserción en la economía globalizada, por lo cual hizo coincidir su proyección internacional con planteamientos propios del neoliberalismo.
