Tactics of Hybrid Warfare Perpetrated by Russia Against Ukraine from Defensive and Offensive Realism

Abstract
This article outlines a series of hybrid warfare tactics that Russia executed between 2014 and 2022 against Ukraine, while categorizing them within the theories of Offensive and/or Defensive Realism. In particular, this is justified using secondary sources such as specialized literature and interviews with academic experts in the field of study. The hypothesis suggests that the tactics employed by Russia against Ukraine during the mentioned years would correspond to both offensive and defensive realism since their variability blurs the line between what is illegal and what is not regulated by international law.
