Una aproximación al conflicto chileno-mapuche: una nomenclatura sobre conflictos intratables

Abstract
En la actualidad no existe un consenso claro sobre el uso de una nomenclatura para referirse al tipo de conflicto con el pueblo mapuche en el sur de Chile. Los conceptos más utilizados son violencia rural y terrorismo. Se argumenta que el uso de estos conceptos ha generado una confusión hermenéutica. Esto ha llevado a pensar que el tema central del conflicto es la seguridad pública y no las demandas históricas del pueblo mapuche. Se propone que la categoría de Daniel Bar-Tal, Conflictos Intratables, puede ayudar a superar esta confusión y a comprender de mejor manera el conflicto.
